Dr. Andrew Han has been with the university since August 2008 as a Learning Designer for CLDD. Andrew has a background in Philosophy (M.A.) and German Literature (Ph.D.) before making the transition to learning design via his graduate work in Educational Technology at the University of Calgary (M.Ed.). He has experience teaching both in the face-to-face and online mediums as a language instructor and as a facilitator for adult learning.
Besides his main work as a learning designer, Andrew serves on the eCampus Alberta Committee for Open Educational Resources and is also involved with the development of the Learning Analytics Tool at Athabasca as it relates to teaching and learning. Andrew believes in the transformative potential of online learning and is thus constantly wrestling with the question of what can best enhance the learner experience.
